I'm a Southern Magnolia, originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  I moved to Texas a couple of years after college and stayed put.  I've traveled quite a bit in Europe, but only lived in the South.
     Hmmm...well, can't say my life's been boring, but I've shaken and stirred it up even more with a very Southern journey to Uruguay.
Why Uruguay?  Why not?  After 34+ years of teaching, I was ready for a change.  The instrument of change:  a trip to Peru in 2012.  My husband and I decided that change was forthcoming, so here we go.
     Join my two Border Collies, my husband, and me in our adventures...  Along the way we'll gain cats and new friends.  We'll reminisce about experiences old and new.

Somewhere during my journey, cooking became a passion!  I asked family and friends for recipes, talked to chefs about food, and invented some of my very own recipes and tips.  Two cookbooks later, my cooking website was born.  Have a look and enjoy making some delicious foods. ​
